On Saturday, December 14, 2013, the Young President's Organization transformed the Cairo Estate in San Juan Capistrano to a fabulous 1920's era mansion for their annual holiday party, with this year's theme as Great Gatsby.
60 guests attended the event, where they enjoyed a night of dancing, dining and relaxing. From the first steps up the red carpet entrance and larger than life decorated doors of the Cairo Estate, the party was magical. Jazz-inspired party tunes with selections from the 2013 Great Gatsby soundtrack kept everyone on their toes.
Headed by Chef Scott Wagner, the in-house catering team at Estate Weddings and Events provided a refined array of cuisine, including a seafood and raw bar with oysters on the half shell, ahi and avocado tuna poke, shrimp cocktail, a carving station with cedar plank slightly smoked Coho salmon, beef tornadoes with sangiovese-wild shroom sauce and sides that included rosemary roasted sage mountain farm fingerling potators, potato gnocchi with brown butter sage, truffled n' roasted spaghetti squash and more.
The 1920s-style dancers from LA Follies completed the ambience with flair as they performed specially choreographed pieces to fit the venue and event.
Guests mingled across all rooms of the Cairo Estate including two living rooms with fireplaces, grand foyer, and outdoors where they could take snapshots with the authentic vintage buggy.
