Our story began on Long Island at Massapequa High School when Adam asked me to junior prom. We were immediately inseparable and went on to attend each of our proms together and share many other memories together during our high school years. Then, Adam went to Buffalo and I went to Villanova, and so began the college years. The long distance years were not easy, but through thick and thin we stuck by each others' sides and grew closer and stronger than ever.
After many trips to visit each other, study abroad programs, and summers and holidays back in LI, we finally were living in the same city again. Although those years shaped us into who we are today and made our relationship stronger, we were ready to conquer NYC, and it has been nothing shore of amazing.
We love our UES apartment, exploring different areas of the city, going to concerts, cooking in our apartment, and trying new restaurants. Also, we have loved our trips outside the city to Laguna Beach, Tokyo, Aruba, Iceland, and Maine, where Adam proposed in August of last year, and New Zealand and Fiji, where we spent our honeymoon.
Adam and I had each separately discovered and secretly fallen in love with The Foundry before Adam proposed, and we had our September 2014 wedding booked there within a week of being engaged! Having grown up on LI and started our lives together in NYC, having our wedding in Long Island City was fate. With NYC as our backdrop and our home town a short drive away, we could not imagine a more magical place for us to have held our wedding ceremony and danced the night away with our favorite people in the world.
Thanks to our amazing team of vendors, and an 80 degree September evening, the night was an absolute blast, and went off without a hitch. We are looking forward to officially start our next chapter together as husband and wife, and cannot wait for the adventures that life has in store for us!
