College basketball special events

The NCAA Men's basketball tournament is one of the most anticipated events on the sports calendar. Played over several weeks in March (and into April this year), the tournament features 68 of the best college teams in the country playing in a dramatic single elimination tournament. The winning team is arguably the best amateur basketball squad in the world.

There are a couple of traits that really make this weeks-long event about much more than basketball. First, games are held all over the US, so you will be able to experience the fun no matter where you live. Second, there are luncheons, parties, parades and concerts before or after the tournament games.

So even people with no interest in the on-court drama can take part in the festivities.

This year, the Final Four, the tournament's semifinal and final games, will be played in the Arlington/Dallas area. It is not too late to score court-side seats so that you can be in the midst of the action. Or perhaps you want to spring for a luxury suite where you can watch the action in complete comfort.

AT&T Stadium, where the Dallas Cowboys play their home games, will host the Final Four. This is a huge stadium with lots of seating options for both semifinals and the final.

You can also buy your way into pre-game luncheons featuring current and past players and famous sports journalists and broadcast personalities. But you don't have to travel to Texas to enjoy this nationwide event.

San Diego, Anaheim, New York City and San Antonio, among other cities, will host the regional portion of the tournament. Each of these cities will see multiple games and the same kind of surrounding events that make the Final Four so exciting for fans and non-sports-enthusiasts alike. Tickets are available for all cities, but will certainly sell out by the time March arrives.

Second and third round games in San Diego will take place at San Diego State University's Veijas Arena starting on March 21st. Anaheim's Honda Center (home of the NHL's Anaheim Ducks), will host the West Regional Final a week later. All the way across the country, the famous Madison Square Garden will host the East Regional Final during the same week.

New York City NCAA Tournament Events

We have a number of estates in Texas that can host a pre-Final Four luncheon or even a post-game soiree that will impress even the most discerning suite -sitting game-goers.

If you and your guests will be seeing the action at Madison Square Garden, the Lofts at Prince or the Manhattan Penthouse are great venues for hosting a small event to correspond with the game, while the more far flung Long Island Estate is perfect for people who want the weekend to be a vacation as well as an event.

Since the games are spread out over the course of three days, you can easily find the perfect time to schedule your luncheon or after-game cocktail party.

San Diego Estate Venues for Events

On the West Coast, there are even more options.

For an evening event after the games at San Diego's Veijas Arena have finished, the Marine 5 Penthouse is a very centrally located event venue. It offers amazing views of the San Diego skyline and a thoroughly modern setting.

Venues like Villa Costa, meanwhile, can provide an even more stylish setting for a luncheon for luxury-loving guests who want to relax in an ideally quiet environment before enjoying the "madness" of March's tournament games.
