Long Beach is home to one of the most famous street racing circuits in the US. Each spring, the Long Beach Grand Prix takes place on the 1.97-mile, 11-turn course.
The event lasts for an entire weekend, culminating in an Indy Car Series race that features some of the world's best open-wheel drivers. A LeMans Series event, featuring sports cars, and an Indy Lights race, which features some of the best up and coming drivers on the planet, are also part of Long Beach's race weekend.
Past champions of the IndyCar race have included Indy 500 winner Dario Franchitti and former Formula One stand-out Takuma Sato. Earlier on in its 40 year history, Grand Prix weekend was headlined by a Formula One event, won by the likes of Niki Lauda and Mario Andretti. So as you can see, this is certainly an illustrious motor sports event.
General admission passes for all three days of racing and practice sessions are now available. There are also special extended access passes for people who want to get a more in depth experience. These include admission to the paddock (the "garage" area where the race cars are fine-tuned prior to taking the track).
There is even a special Paddock Club with garage access, reserved seating, priority parking, a breakfast buffet, a full self-serve bar, and a fully catered lunch on both race days (Saturday and Sunday). If you want to fully enjoy this storied motor-sports event, getting this full Club Pass is the best option.
April is an event-filled month in the LA area, though the Long Beach Grand Prix will be the undisputed highlight for race fans and anyone seeking a special spectacle.
You can really make this weekend memorable by spending the hours that you are not at the track relaxing in a private vacation home. The four bedroom Villa Marbella Estate sits about 30 minutes from the race track.
Only steps away from the beach, this estate can double as an event space, allowing you to host a post race cocktail party or dinner as well as providing you with a luxurious place for you and your friends to spend time between races. The estate sits mere steps away from one of the best stretches of beach in the Los Angeles metro.
In short, if you are looking for the perfect place to spend race weekend and to host your own special Grand Prix event, this is it.
Or perhaps you want to spend your hours away from the paddock in a more social way. Some of our event estates provide the perfect setting for a post-race cocktail party or a luncheon party for guests who are about to head to the track. These same estates would work for a truly memorable race-themed corporate weekend, or any other type of race-themed event.
Casa Leoni is the perfect example. A large Orange County events space, it can host up to 250 guests in its spacious 10,000 foot building and surrounding grounds. If you truly want to pull out all the stops and throw a special event for your friends, colleagues or business associates during race weekend, this estate, with an attractive atmosphere that will make you think that you are on the Italian Riviera, can host up to 250 guests.
Both its size and elegance make it ideal for a larger event that will be as exciting and memorable as anything that you will witness on the Long Beach street course.
