1. The Resort at Paws Up
We begin our roundup of Montana event venues today with a stop at one of the state’s most stunning settings. The Resort at Paws Up is situated amongst 37,000 acres of scenic Montana landscape—so event options truly are endless. An ideal location for a destination wedding, The Resort at Paws Up offers guests their choice of private residences or luxury tented suites—and both accommodation options are as well-appointed as they come.
Residences include a number of multiple-bedroom houses (perfect for bridal parties or families traveling from afar to celebrate)—each of which offers its own private porch, back deck, and private six-person hot tub. Tented suites are located on some of the most scenic areas of the property, and each boasts an en-suite bathroom and up to 1,000 square feet of space—making the tented suites the perfect option for guests who aren’t afraid of some seriously high-end glamping. With a number of customizable wedding package options to choose from, we love the Resort at Paws up for everything from grand celebrations in its 9,000 square foot barn, to intimate soirées on its historic covered bridge.
2. The Ranch at Rock Creek
Next up, we head to The Ranch at Rock Creek, an event venue that offers both five-star luxury and classic western charm in a storied setting. Nestled in one of Montana’s most picturesque valleys, the Ranch at Rock Creek is the perfect place to say "I Do" for the couple looking for a venue that offers down-home charm without sacrificing refinement.
With Philipsburg being the only town within 50 miles of the ranch, Rock Creek truly is a world in and of itself. This secluded spot offers storybook views of surrounding settings that can only be described as Great American West. With four main accommodation options for overnight guests choose from, the Ranch at Rock Creek is perfect for a destination wedding, where guests from all over the world can convene for a weekend of fun festivities leading up to the big day.
For those looking to tie the knot here, we recommend booking at least three days on the property and peppering each with its own brand of unique celebratory affairs. We especially love the ease of wedding-planning the venue offers—The Ranch at Rock Creek offers a fully customizable, all-inclusive package for up to 125 guests. The rate includes custom accommodations, premium wine, beer and spirits, and twice-daily on-ranch activities (like hot tub dips, hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking).

With three main event spaces available for everything from corporate events to wedding celebrations, the event options at Billings Depot are seemingly endless. The Passenger Station can accommodate up to 150 guests and boasts vaulted ceilings, roman columns, a striking terrazzo floor, and an iconic high-arched window backdrop—making it the perfect space for wedding ceremonies. The Baggage Room offers space for 300 guests and boasts exposed brick walls, stunning hardwood floors, and tons of wide-open space—making it an ideal setting for wedding receptions. Finally, Gainan’s Courtyard offers guests an open-air space to celebrate amongst lush greenery and Montana’s ever-blue skies.

Nestled amongst 32 picturesque acres on the banks of Montana’s East Rose Bud River, Quaking Aspen Ranch is one of our all-time favorite settings for Venuelusting. Just 45 minutes west of the town of Billings, this full-service venue offers three main event spaces to choose from in addition to mesmerizing ponds and stunning river frontage.
The Log Lodge offers 5,000 square feet of space, 5 bedrooms, and 5.5 bathrooms—making it the perfect setting for a bridal party to get ready or embark on pre-wedding celebrations. The River Bridge was originally built in 1907 and can host everything from wedding ceremonies to rehearsal dinners to once-in-a-lifetime photoshoots. In addition to the property’s scenic venues, we especially love the straightforward wedding package options it offers.

Located seven miles north of Bozeman, The Big Yellow Barn was originally built in 1917 but has since become an iconic local landmark. Situated amongst seemingly endless acres of lush green grass, the Big Yellow Barn is visually striking in its isolation.
With warm sunshine on the west side of the picturesque barn, sprawling greenery surrounding it, and a second floor that can host up to 200 guests for a night of dancing, we love the idea of hosting a down-home wedding celebration here or renting the space for a magical holiday affair your employees will never forget. We're especially swooning, though, over the interior of the barn, which looks nothing short of magical when lit with overhead market lights.

Located in Billings, the Moss Mansion offers a stunning setting for everything from intimate wedding celebrations to grand corporate soirées. Built in 1903 and listed on the National Registry of Historic Homes, this turn-of-the-century space still boasts all-original draperies and furniture (including its stunning Persian carpets).
With three lush gardens and the interior of the mansion available for event rentals, we love the idea of hosting an open-air garden ceremony and then moving guests inside for a classically romantic reception amongst an aesthetic that will take them back a century in time.
