Valentines Sweets For Your Sweetheart

Valentine's Day is just two days away! If you are like me, you start thinking about it a week out. I am not one who typically buys a bunch of gifts, but I am more the kind that likes intentional details such as: making the card, baking special treats and creating experiences {confession: baking for me is therapy}.  First sweet treat that has my mouth watering is the Lavender Shortbread cookies. I always like to add non chocolate desserts into the mix.

Next we have the Pink Velvet cupcakes, for all those cake and frosting lovers.  I like to play with this recipe a bit and see how I can make it gluten free.  It is amazing the difference and more condensed cake texture you get when you bake with almond flour! *Keep in mind if you have dairy or gluten allergies, all recipes can be altered to adjust.  It may take a few times to learn the right consistency, but it is worth it.

My weakness: dark chocolate, peanut butter and butterfingers....goodness!  These Peanut Butterfinger Blossoms not only taste amazing, but they are adorable. You could even add in double the chocolate and peanut butter fun by swapping out Butterfinger hearts with the Reece's hearts. Just a suggestion if you like that combo as much as me.

If you are wanting a little something more light and fluffy to make for your Valentine, then try the Cupid's Cloud. This glorious mixture has raspberries, whip cream, a tinge of vanilla and sugar to make ensure satisfaction to that sweet tooth.

Lastly, we have the Mini Heart Cookies cookies that you can fill will your favorite jams!  I would also say that this could be the start to your Valentine's Day, as these little bits of goodness go very nicely with coffee in the morning {kind of the reason I put this one last...to be fresh on your mind for Valentine's morning breakfast}.

Your Turn....
