Since it is Wedding Wednesday, I thought I would touch on a topic that leaves a bit of a lasting impression....the wedding guest favors! These little beacons of "thank you" are such and important detail to have as a "leave behind" as you get whisked away to experience life as a newly wed. Since I have been to many a wedding that did it well and many a wedding that.... well, here are some fabulous suggestions for your lovely friends and family to remember your special day.
Wedding Favor #1 - Succulents
I am a big fan of succulents! Even if you do not have a green thumb, it is pretty near impossible to kill these lovelies. Your guests can put this little gem in their home, office or outside space...every time they look at it, they smile and think of your special wedding day.
Wedding Favor #2 - Matches
Who doesn't need matches?! These are a necessity in every day life to light candles, start a fire or what have you. You can also be very witty with this little favor, "Match made in heaven," "The perfect match," and the list goes on.
Wedding Favor #3 - Olive Oil
Another, pretty much, every day essential is Olive Oil! Someone in every household loves to cook! So every time they bake, they get to think of you and send good vibes! You can also have a bit of fun with this, since when we were kids we would mouth "olive juice" which looks like you are saying "I love you."
Wedding Favor #4 - Nuts
If you haven't picked up on it yet, I am a big fan of favors that you can show your humor through and a cute personalized bag in which guests can fill with an assortment of nuts is great. A healthy snack that you can get a bit nutty with. Pun intended!
Wedding Favor #5 - Candles
You can never go wrong with candles. Add the personal message on the label with maybe a sweet little quote or what not on the inside of the tin. Just make sure the scent(s) is something that is widely appreciated and not patchouli (no offense to anyone).
Wedding Favor #6 - Koozies
Koozies are especially perfect for those spring to fall weddings. Just in time for baseball, summer festivities and then rolling you right into football season (for those of us who are spots fans). So many colors, designs and messages you can say to your guests throughout the long life span of a koozie.
Wedding Favor #7 - Spoon(s)
Lastly, is the ever classic engraved spoon. A dear friend of mine did this for their wedding favor to the bridal party and I have cherished it. You can leave a quote, a special message or witty comment on them. I absolutely love this favor and of course is the reason I left it for last. Save the best for last, right?!
