One of my favorite things about summer is the smell of bonfires and the yummy taste of s'mores. Over the past few years, I have seen how restaurants and other foodie places have upped the anty on how to eat s'mores. Not only that, the concept of a "s'mores bar" at weddings and events has become not only a great way to create memories, but also let you express yourself and try other options within the traditional s'mores setup.
While living in Nashville a bit ago, the Tavern introduced me to a whole new way to have my s'mores. They gave the options of not only the chocolate and marshmallows, but the additives of peanut butter cups and strawberries. I fell in love and my eyes were wide open! There are so many great options to add in to your wedding reception s'mores bar such as: white chocolate, salted carmel, banana slices, almond butter, blackberries (any kind of berry, really), and the list goes on. Just think a little out of the box and maybe even have a little pre-planning testing with your significant other.
There are so many creative ways that you can setup your s'mores bar. I love the concept of actually creating a long wooden display that has the burners on top and then along the sides you have all the options to pick from. Gives it that rustic chic vibe. You can obviously dress it up and dress it down with whatever best fits your style and wedding theme.
Also, you can make cute s'mores packages as wedding favors to your guests (image above). Now that I have officially made my mouth water and I am craving s'mores with raspberries and peanut butter cups...
What are some options you would add to your s'mores bar?
