I love decorating for every season, but admittedly I can get a bit tired, bored or my taste alters a bit with some decorations that I've had for awhile. Each year I try to find new DIY projects that are fun and not too time consuming that can add a little more flair to my already collected Christmas decor.
DIY Decoration #1: Christmas Winter Candles
Love the simplicity of a jar, lace, pine cones, a little pine and some fake snow! Brings the wintery scene inside, yet in a way that brings warmth! Nelly Vintage shows you just how to bring these to life...
DIY Decoration #2: Fa La La La Ornaments
Deck the fireplace with these DIY ornaments. Trace the outside of different-size embroidery hoops onto a roll of canvas. Cut out the circles and paint them with green chalkboard paint; let dry. Place the painted circles in the hoops and add hanging ribbon. Use chalk to write a festive refrain.
DIY Decoration #3: Chalkboard Festive Cheer
Sometimes it's easy to overlook the most simple and thought provoking piece! You can paint the back of an antique picture frame with black chalkboard paint, then write your favorite holiday phrase.
DIY Decoration #4: Merry Christmas Garland
I love this simple look of manila shipping tags, twine and stencil! So easy, fun craft with friends as well adding a little shift in the more common rustic vibe. Haeley, takes a through the simple steps.
DIY Decoration #5: Twine Stars
I will admit that I really enjoy the clean, textured rustic decor. After living in the south for a few years, I am more and more drawn to it and stars! So this is only too perfect to add to my door and add some variation around my neighbor's traditional wreaths hung. Great idea Homestead and Survival.
