Overlooking the warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, Kilindi Zanzibar redefines the meaning of "paradise."  Set inside a 35-acre tropical gardens, Kilindi features 15 two-level pavilion-style suites.  The entire property is fronted by a secluded and idyllic white sand beach. This utterly unique boutique estate was originally designed for pop star Benny Andersson - one of the members of the famous Swedish band ABBA.  While elements of Scandinavian minimalism are found at Kilindi, nature, luxury and privacy are the overwhelming themes that guests will experience.   Each of the 15 pavilion suites is separated with its own garden to ensure complete privacy and tranquility.  The suites all feature a plunge pool and state-of-the-art rainfall shower room.  The two-level suites also boast modern "cool bed" air-conditioning units.  The unique ambiance of each suite is enhanced by tasteful LED floor lighting.  A personal butler is on hand to cater to each guests' every whim, including organizing excursions all around the exotic islands of Zanzibar and proving full meal service in any part of the pavilion that guests choose. The magic of Kilindi is that its luxury does not clash with the natural beauty of the surroundings.  Classic slatted shutters and huge arching glass-less windows provide an open-air living experience and offer amazing views of the brightly color Indian Ocean waters.  The colorful flora of the gardens and the resident red colobus monkeys and bright yellow weaver birds add to both the exotic allure and the sensory experience of this utterly unique place. Kilindi's public areas are also quite attractive. A main pavilion area features a "waterfall" bar and a 25-meter infinity pool, both of which overlook the beach.  A dining area on an open air terrace entices many guests away from their private pavilions at meal time, while the white sand beach, which runs the entire length of the property, is perfect for sunning or taking a dip in the warm waters of the Zanzibar Coast. With its mix of nature, privacy, and luxury, Kilindi is the perfect Zanzibar accommodation option for couples, especially honeymooners.  However, anyone who wants to truly experience the magic of this unique island will certainly enjoy a stay at this special property. What to Do Explore historic Zanzibar with its mix of African, Arab, and European influences. Relax in your private garden or on the beach and watch the local fishermen sailing offshore. Step into the past by taking a cruise on a classic spice trading ship Sit back in your private pavilion and enjoy the warm Indian Ocean breezes and the scents and sounds of nature.
