The Leobo Lodge sits on a hill overlooking the beautiful landscapes of the Palala Valley in the Waterberg region of northern South Africa. Part classic safari camp and part modern luxury vacation haven, the Lodge is located in the Leobo Private Reserve, a 12,000 acre preserve teeming with wildlife species that are never seen in the wild outside of Africa. Adventures abound at the Private Reserve. Visitors can seek out giraffes, hippos and zebras on horseback, on quad bikes, or in a ranger-driven Land Cruiser. Swimming, fishing, shooting, and helicopters rides are also on the agenda for guests. Since Leobo is a private reserve, guests will have all these activities completely to themselves during their stay. The Leobo Lodge itself can accommodate 18 people in tasteful rustic-chic cottages, each of which offers wonderful views of the valley from fully furnished open air verandahs. The main lodge building boasts fire places, an outdoor dining room, and spacious decks. The property has eight cottages in total, each with an en suite bathroom, private deck, and classic game-lodge furnishings. Leobo's pool, which boasts a unique curved design and a thatched-roof cabana, provides yet another place to relax and enjoy the South African outdoors. A traditional African gathering area known as a Boma is also part of the Leobo complex. The Lodge's private chef can serve your meals inside the boma, on the verandah, on your private deck, or even at various special picnic spots located in the bush around the lodge. What to do Dine on the lodge's main deck, then watch the stars while sitting on the cushioned sofa near the outdoor fireplace. Take a safari drive in a Land Cruiser to view giraffes, zebras, gazelles, hippos, Cape buffalo, and colorful birds. Enjoy a specially-made, personalized meal on your cottage's rustic-chic verandah while enjoying the views of the landscapes of the Private Reserve.
