About Longitude 131

Longitude 131 is the closest accommodation to Australia’s most iconic attraction: Uluru. Formerly known as Ayers Rock, this picture-worthy red sandstone formation in the middle of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park draws tourists from all over the world. However, only a select few actually get to stay within eyeshot of the rock. Longitude 131 boasts 15 luxury tented suites. In addition to the proximity to the famous formation, guests are surrounded by the beautifully austere landscapes of the Australian desert. Remote controlled drapes, rainfall showers, a climate control system, entertainment options, and an in-suite bar put Longitude 131’s tents squarely in the luxury-camping realm. The Dune House sits in the middle of Longitude 131’s property. This public area is a place to mingle and relax. An impressive library (with a collection of historic material related to Uluru) and a modern movie collection offer entertainment, while the outdoor pool allows guests to cool off without losing sight of the majestic surroundings. The Dune House is also where the main dining area is located. Gourmet creations fit for a five-star hotel’s showcase restaurant find their way onto guests’ plates at each meal. Private dining is available at other locations around the camp as well. A full menu of experiences is available to all guests. Aside from enjoying the surroundings while within the camp, 131's guides lead walks around the most scenic section of the national park and also treks to get an up-close look at Uluru itself. What to do Take a guided sunset walk to view Uluru, and then return to your tent to enjoy a cocktail and gaze at the night sky as the stars start to twinkle. Take a dip in the pool, then dry off and savor the gourmet creations of Longitude 131’s talented chefs. Explore the hidden corners of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Photos Courtesy of Longitude 13
